Rolls-Royce have been acting as the Technical Authority for Submarine Nuclear Propulsion since the 1960s. We have undertaken extensive experimental, development and production V&V programmes, and as such have matured processes and capability for:

Understanding high level V&V requirements for NSRP including Reactor Core, Systems, Sub-system and Components

Data management integration of detailed V&V requirements

Rationalisation of V&V vertically and horizontally across requirements – w.r.t. minimising effort required to execute V&V programmes

V&V for the following typical systems and components.

Testing for RPV flows and other thermal hydraulics

Technical Development is the department that delivers that capability across the entire CADMID cycle, through management of bespoke mechanical, fluid, electrical and software application rigs, and delivery of test data. We are continuing to grow this capability and have some exciting opportunities to work within the Technical Development Project Management team to drive the master plan for our future testing strategy.
What you will be doing:
Within Technical Development, we are responsible for testing capability throughout the CADMID life cycle. Ensuring delivery of this capability relies heavily on the support of RRSL's core enabling functions. This role would support Project and Engineering Leads with functional tasks and activities to better engagement, improve quality of information and enhance controls of Tech Dev's functional performance.

Facilitate and co-ordinate the engineering to procurement transition- supporting Technical Development inputs to all relevant Supply Chain Commodity teams.

Using both SAP and Coupa systems to raise Purchase Requisitions (QNBs, MNBs), Demand Change Requests (DCRs).

Monitor performance of the entire supply chain value chain (from initial engagement, through to delivery), with supporting metrics.

Support with basic Planning & Control processes, including Stock Transfer Orders (STOs) and ADSUBCON.

Own Level 1 Technical Development & Supply Chain governance meetings, with assistance managing general actions and escalations.

Support general Project Management and Business Management activities, including cost centre data analysis and risk management.

Support general Project Management and Business Management improvements.

Develop and maintain key business metrics.
